Membership of the society is restricted to 250, because of the seating capacity of the Matthews Hall. 

The membership subscription for the 2026/27 season is £60.00.  There is a joining fee of £15.00.   Members can pay their subscription by internet or telephone banking and are encouraged to do so as payment by cheque now incurs bank charges

Members must register their attendance at each of the monthly lectures. Those who are on the waiting list may also attend for a fee of £10.00 pp each time.  Members may bring guests for the same fee.  However, because of the constraints set by the seating capacity of the hall, Members's guests and waiting list members must book 24 hours in advance through the Membership Secretary.  An email using the contact details on this site will suffice.

Members of TAST are automatically members of our parent organisation The Arts Society. This entitles them to a quarterly magazine.   Further information is available here on The Arts Society web site.
