The aim of Special Interest Days is to provide members with an opportunity to study topics that warrant more time than can be given in one hour. They are usually held in St Nicholas Methodist Church on Fore St, Topsham, but please check the detail for each one.
Our normal pattern of SIDs is one in the November of each season and one in the spring of the season; perhaps March or May. Each will usually consist of three one hour lectures on the topic – two in the morning and one after lunch. Lunch will usually be included as part of the event. One of the SIDs is likely to be linked with the destination of our overseas tour, which usually happens in September or early October each year. During the day, you have time and opportunities to chat to your friends and make friends with other members of TAST.
The above is a general description of our SIDS programme. However, please check with the website for each SID as details may well vary according to local circumstances. (See “Future”Events under the “Special Interests” banner or with your annual programme card.)
